Saif Chilmeran takes images from popular culture, tears them apart, and rebuilds them as beautiful thought provoking pieces dedicated to strength and justice. Moving back and forth from canvas to walls, Saif takes the anger of the streets into the gallery space, making the art world uncomfortable, but equally hungry for his works. Saif has had his art exhibited alongside pioneers such as Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Blek Le Rat and Seen. As an Arab artist living in between Canada and the UAE, his art has been influenced by a diverse background, enabling him to tackle themes of modern day conflict, philanthropy, irony and honesty in his work. He creates his own mediums whilst keeping his street origins close to his heart.
